Takto (“Takto”, “we”, “us”) is a content idea service for social media creators, operated by Takto Ltd.
You can contact us at hello@takto.app. These Terms are a contract between you and us. By creating an account or using Takto, you accept them. If you don’t accept them, don’t use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Takto. By creating an account you confirm that you are.
You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@takto.app if you think someone else has accessed it.
Takto generates content ideas based on the niches, formats and preferences you select. Each idea may include a suggested hook, a format, an indication of effort, and an explanation of why the idea might perform well. You can save ideas, schedule them to a calendar, and receive email reminders on the day an idea is scheduled.
Ideas are generated using a third-party AI model — see section 8.
Free use. New accounts can generate a limited number of idea sets free of charge. The current limit is 3 sets of 3 ideas. We may change these limits at any time.
Takto Pro. A paid subscription billed monthly at the price shown at checkout in your local currency. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
Payment. Payments are handled by Stripe. We don’t receive or store your card details. Your use of Stripe’s payment services is subject to Stripe’s own terms.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for — you keep Pro access until then, and you won’t be charged again.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
A refund may only be processed within a very short time of signing up and as long as no ideas have been generated. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Don’t use Takto to:
We may suspend or close accounts that breach this section.
What you give us. You keep ownership of everything you enter into Takto. You grant us a licence to use it to operate the service — which includes sending your niche and format preferences to our AI provider so ideas can be generated.
What you get back. As between you and us, you’re free to use the ideas Takto generates however you like, including commercially. You don’t need to credit us.
But note: ideas are generated by an AI model from patterns in language. Similar ideas may be generated for other users, and we can’t and don’t promise that any idea is original, unique to you, or that it doesn’t resemble content that already exists. We don’t grant you exclusivity over any idea.
We try to keep Takto running but don’t promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or withdraw features, and may carry out maintenance that makes the service temporarily unavailable. Where we can, we’ll give notice.
Takto depends on third-party services (listed in the Privacy Policy). If one of them fails, Takto may be unavailable through no fault of ours.
You can stop using Takto and delete your account at any time by contacting hello@takto.app.
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue Takto entirely while you have an active subscription, we’ll refund the unused portion of your current billing period.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law. Subject to that:
If you’re a consumer, this section doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Takto after that means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
